Short Term Goals:
In the Spring of 2014 I enrolled in classes through the UCLA Extension Program in hopes of earning a certificate in Human Resources. I anticipate completing the certificate program by Winter of 2016. The program consists of 7 core classes, 2 electives and 1 ethics requirement. To date, I have taken the following classes:
- Elements of Human Resources Management
- Employee Relations & Legal Aspects of Human Resources Management
- Financial Aspects of Human Resources Managements
- Benefits Programs: Administration & Design
- Ethics for Human Resources Professional
- Advanced Human Resources Management
- Talent Acquisition
- Compensation Programs: Administration and Design
Long Term Goals:
In the Spring of 2015 I enrolled in my first class at Pasadena City College after a 20 year hiatus. At the moment, my goal is to work through the remaining core classes I need to transfer to a university. I hope to transfer to a four year college by the end of 2016, but will take some time since I only take a class at a time. My current goal is to earn a Bachelor's of Science in Business Management with an emphasis in Human Resources.
I eventually hope to earn placement with a company where I can strengthen my skills and utilize my education and training.
